The Racing Collective is a not-for-profit bikepacking club for self-supported racers. Inspired by races like the Transcontinental and the Tour Divide, they set out to construct a series of UK trials that carried the same spirit of self-sufficiency, but which could be completed closer to home.
I followed the start of the the 2026 edition of their race GBDURO. Over two days, I captured the riders from the rugged coastline at Lands End to the rolling moorland of the Quantocks. The route rolled through the diverse landscape of the south west and ventured along quite roads, gravel paths and technical single track. It felt like a really nice small community of bike enthusiasts and it was a pleasure to document.
Below is a series of images and drone videos from the event.
